Bimba keeps more of the mobility experience connected to the place where each ride happens. Local people help care for the fleet and support riders. Independent businesses become useful stops in the network. Visitors discover places beyond their hotel, while residents gain another option for suitable short trips.
Giving back also means being a considerate operator. We organize parking around approved locations, respond when a vehicle causes a problem and ask riders to protect entrances, sidewalks, driveways and beach access. These are practical commitments, not a claim that mobility alone can solve every challenge created by fast tourism growth.
What local value looks like
Our goal is to make each part of the Bimba network useful to the town: how people pay, where they stop, who keeps the service running and how quickly local concerns reach our team.
Visitors can check the live price before unlocking and choose an individual ride or available pass. For occasional short journeys, that flexibility may be more useful than keeping a rental vehicle all day. It is not a promise that Bimba is cheapest for every itinerary, compare the total cost, distance, weather and number of travelers before choosing.
A Bimba parking point puts a local café, restaurant, market, surf camp, hotel or community space inside a rider's movement around town. People arrive because the location is useful, then have a chance to discover what the business offers. We can also feature participating locations through maps, content and local campaigns when details are verified.
The app may unlock the ride, but people keep the network useful. Fleet checks, charging, repairs, redistribution, rider support and business relationships all require local knowledge and day-to-day work. Bimba's aim is to build those capabilities with people who understand Santa Teresa's roads, seasons and rhythm.

Useful feedback includes the location, vehicle number, a clear description and a photo when it is safe to take one.

Bimba's parking network stretches through Santa Teresa, Playa Carmen and Mal País. It connects riders with places they already need, food, coffee, groceries, accommodation, art, surf and everyday services, while giving local businesses another point of visibility.
Some partners host physical charging and locking docks. Others provide an approved parking area without docking hardware. Both make the network more useful, but the live Bimba app remains the source for current parking availability and instructions.

Fair information before the ride
Tourists should not have to guess what a short local trip will cost. The Bimba app shows the current unlock fee, time-based rate, passes and any applicable terms before a ride begins. Review that information before confirming and make sure the trip has ended in the app before walking away.
On-demand access can be valuable when you only need transport for breakfast, a grocery run, a meeting or dinner. A taxi may be better for rain or late-night travel; a car or ATV may suit passengers, luggage or rough access roads; walking remains the simplest choice for a very short distance. A shared fleet needs attention before, during and after a ride. Vehicles must be checked, charged, repaired and returned to useful locations. Riders need answers, and business partners need a team that understands their entrance, operating hours and parking area.
Working with local people shortens that distance. Someone who knows the main road after a downpour, the busiest hours near Playa Carmen or the access constraints around a business can make a better operational decision than a remote system alone.
