Which Bimba vehicle should you choose?

Both vehicles travel through the same Bimba service area. The choice is simply about what feels more comfortable to you. Choose the e-bike if you prefer sitting down, pedaling and riding in a familiar bicycle position, with 26-inch wheels and a front basket. Choose the e-scooter if you prefer standing and a compact, direct riding feel.

There is no single best option. Pick the vehicle that feels most natural and easy for you to control. Before you join traffic, adjust your position, test the brakes and make sure you feel confident on the vehicle.

During the trip, the app keeps the active ride connected to your account and shows the operating area. When you are ready to finish, it directs you to an approved Bimba location. Confirm that the app has ended the ride before walking away; this closes the trip correctly and makes the vehicle available to the next rider.

    Use the live map for current availability, pricing and the active service area. A vehicle shown on this website is not a reservation.

    Inspect the actual vehicle

    Check brakes, tires, wheels, lights, frame and controls. Adjust the bike seat while stopped or establish a stable stance on the scooter.

  3. 03

    Wear a correctly fitted helmet

    Fasten it before entering the road. One vehicle is for one eligible rider; never add a passenger.

  4. 04

    Ride for the conditions

    Slow before sand, gravel, water and traffic. Stop somewhere safe before looking at your phone.

    Return at an approved location

    Follow the app and on-site instructions, leave access clear and wait for confirmation that the ride has ended.

The platform behind the fleet

Both vehicles were developed as shared-mobility platforms. That means stronger structures, protected electronics, connected access and components chosen with repeated use and practical servicing in mind.

Bimba turns those platforms into a local service through branding, app access, approved parking, physical docks, charging, maintenance and rider support. Official engineering images on the vehicle pages explain the parts that affect comfort, control and durability.

We do not treat a maximum test figure as a promise for every trip. Range and performance depend on battery state, configuration, rider, weather and road conditions. The Bimba app and the actual vehicle remain the practical reference before riding.

What vehicles does Bimba offer?

Bimba currently operates two shared electric vehicle types in Santa Teresa: an electric bike and a standing electric scooter. Live availability appears in the Bimba app.

Should I choose an e-bike or an e-scooter?

Choose based on the route, surface, weather, luggage and your experience. The e-bike's larger wheels and seated position may feel more familiar on uneven roads. The scooter can suit short direct trips on firm, visible surfaces.

Can I reserve a specific model?

Use the Bimba app to see vehicles that are available now. Availability changes as riders begin and end trips, so the website cannot promise a particular vehicle in advance.

Are the manufacturer range figures guaranteed?

No. Published range figures are measured under test conditions. Real range changes with battery state, rider weight, speed, terrain, weather, tire condition and fleet configuration.

Where do I return a Bimba vehicle?

Finish only at an approved Bimba parking location shown for the current ride in the app. Some locations have physical docks; others provide an approved parking area without hardware.

Do I need experience before riding?

You should already feel confident controlling the type of vehicle you choose. If an e-bike or standing scooter is new to you, begin in a clear, quiet area and learn how its acceleration and brakes respond before entering traffic. Do not use a busy Santa Teresa road as a practice area.

What should I bring for a Bimba ride?

Bring a correctly fitted helmet, a charged phone with mobile data and only a small amount you can carry securely. Check the weather and your intended parking point before unlocking. For luggage, a passenger or a route beyond the active network, use transport designed for that trip.
